Our History
Chai Life Productions was born from a dream that began decades ago with the Beth Israel Players—Calgary’s beloved Jewish community theatre. After a 40-year silence, that dream has been rekindled by Tracy Smith and Ari Cohen, inspired by a new generation and the guiding spirit of those who came before. Rooted in L’dor v’dor—from generation to generation—Chai Life brings Jewish stories, voices, and traditions back to the stage, offering an inclusive, vibrant space for creativity, connection, and community.
